There are lamps out there with several sockets and flexible necks, which makes them ideal for indoor gardeners. You may want to consider purchasing some splitters, too, which allow you to screw in a couple of light bulbs instead of just one. The 6, Kelvin color spectrum can take your plants through its vegetative and flowering stages with no issues. That means this bulb has an equivalence of W, making this a bright, powerful light to help your plants grow.
The good news is that this bulb comes with a day money-back guarantee, so you can return a defective bulb and buy a different one. The greatest thing about this Hydroponic Full Spectrum CFL light bulb is that it is a bright light with that daylight spectrum, making this a great choice for all sorts of plants.
Part of the reason for that is that fluorescent light has a hard time penetrating to the bottom of the plant, and so your plant reaches upward. Like most CFLs, this grow light should last about 10, hours over its lifetime, which equates to about a year or more of continuous use. However, some people who reviewed this bulb said it lasted only days, weeks, or months. The actual wattage is 60W, which means it burns as bright as a W incandescent light bulb, but only uses 60 watts.
Although fluorescent is supposed to burn cooler and not emit much heat, some users said it got too warm for their plants. Perhaps the best thing about this bulb is that it comes in a four-pack and is more affordable than similar light bulbs. It promises the equivalence of a W incandescent bulb, but at only 23 actual watts. Also, these are small bulbs at about 4 inches long and only a couple of inches in diameter.
This makes it easy to place several of them on splitters and spread them out among your plants — from top to bottom. While these are like the other CFL bulbs out there — energy-efficient and long-lasting — these bulbs burn a little hotter than your indoor garden may tolerate.
Of course, an easy fix is to move your lights up or your plants down or provide your plants some cooling air conditioning or a fan to circulate the air.
They all fit a normal light fixture with a standard base. Fits any standard medium. This spiral bulb also fits normal fixtures with a standard base but comes a little lower in wattages at 26 watts. The product gives lumens. For small wattage bulbs, be sure to get at least bulbs for an efficient grow light environment. Fits mogul base. The Satco Lumens 40WT K bulb is a great option if you want to set up some individual low power bulbs for blooming phase.
Stronger soft white light output with W power. Uses mogul medium. Though this bulb is not from Hydrofarm, it does fit the mogul socket well and is a great supplement bulb using together with the k W bulb. When the classic incandescent lamps invented by Thomas Edison are no longer efficient in modern days, the CFLs are created to replace them. The compact fluorescent lamps win over the incandescent bulbs with a longer lifespan, significantly less heat emitted, and more light outputs with the same watts.
They are the big bang for the buck. The days when your electricity bills are a burden for growing plants indoors are long gone. Meanwhile, the T5 lights are not great for your spaces and are not portable like the CFLs. This makes CFLs the perfect choice. CFLs can be used alone for the whole growing phase for all kinds of plants.
They can be used in combinations with other light types as well. Most of the CFLs sold are not full spectrum. Mostly they are in two color types: warm and daylight colors. And instead of indicating the color of bulbs when lighted, people use Kelvin to measure the light color or also light temperature. Kelvin is abbreviated as K. Best for flowering, and blooming. Best for all phase of growing, especially vegetative stage.
There is also a dual spectrum type, in which the manufacturers have customed to produce some yellow lights mixed with some blue ones. Any experienced indoor growers know that you cannot get a one-color bulb type and uses it for the whole growing phase even though you can still use it and enjoy some fair results.
And regarding the CFLs, because of the way they are created, there are no specific CFLs that can fit all kinds of plants and their growing period.
Say you can use the red light for whole growing phase, and your bud, flowering stage loves that, but you should know that the bud and the plant will not grow adequately without a strong root system, vigorous leaves, and stems to move moisture and nutrients throughout the plants. Often the ratio of the different wavelengths will be different for various plants, growing phase, but as a general rule of thumb, you will want more blue light for the vegetative phase, and more yellow for the flowering stage.
They come in two significant shapes, u-shaped glass tubes or spiral glass tubes. Their wattages range from 40 to watts. One bulb can last for 10, to 20, hours while its ballast can last between 50, to 60, hours while in operation. When it comes to indoor gardening, there are two types of Compact fluorescent light; daylight and soft white.
What differentiates them apart is their color temperature. Color temperature is a vital aspect of the growth process of a plant. For this reason, it is essential to switch both types of bulbs often to allow the plant experience the different temperatures of light in its growing process so that it can thrive. It runs on 26 watts of power and has a smooth white appearance that is similar to traditional incandescent bulbs.
It has a GU bi-pin base that fits in most lighting fixtures. The lamp offers a warm white K and a cool white K correlated color temperatures. It has a quick starting electron ballast that operates without flickering. The light bulb is energy saving with the ability to save up to 75 percent of energy costs. It can last up to 10, hours of use. You would require four or five of the MaxLite Base Compact Fluorescent Light Bulb to produce enough light to supply cannabis and produce fruits and flowers.
The bulb is only 26 watts K , but it emits light equivalent to a watts incandescent bulb. It is a favorite daylight CFL bulb that has a color spectrum which ranges between blue-white that can help with the vegetative phase of your marijuana plant.
You need about four to five bulbs to provide the required light output and achieve the best quality vegetative phase.
You can also use it when starting seedlings. The spiral grow-bulb comes with a medium base that can fit in all the standard lighting fixtures.
The light bulb is UL listed and can last up to an average of 10, hours producing lumens. The grow light only has 5 watts but emits an equivalent of 25 watts by incandescent bulbs. It produces a soft white light of K. The grow-light is not intensive as other CFLs of higher wattages since it creates a lumen of However, the amount of light it can produce is sufficient enough for use in the growth of clones. Since it only has 5 watts, the amount of heat it can emit is not enough to cause damages to a plant.
Due to its low wattage, it is best to place the light bulb 2 inches away from the plants to attain the best results. The grow light is compatible with most standard light fixtures and can up to hrs. The SunBlaster CFL Propagation lamp uses only 26 watts of power to provide a full spectrum lighting that is needed by plants to grow and thrive. The lamps are affordable and can fit in almost any light fixture without any problems. Flowering with CFL's???? Thread starter Wigmo Start date Nov 19, Wigmo Well-Known Member.
FallenHero Guest. Now look at the energy that if you combine two 13w cfls for a 26 watt draw with the same amount of lumens close anyway The energy saving would is worth the cost of theese bulbs. How many 4' tubes could you fit into your space. You can use alot more cfl's in the four feet of space that the tube would of taken and have a shit load more light.
They do work for flowering however they are a very weak lighting source compaired to HID. Floro's will and do produce buds however the buds will be small and looser than those grown with a Sodium Vapor or Metal Halide. If you insist on using floros you can grow some real nice green with compact floro's CFL or T5's.
T12 floro's just dont cut it for great buds.
